We found this welcoming guy as we crossed a bridge over a canal in the Marble Temple. He looks like he may have had one too many cheeseburgers but seems happy enough for it.
Look at this happy chap
Octuplets in line
There were eight golden Buddhas in a row at the Grand Palace and a photo opportunity not to be missed. As they were undercover it was also nice to have some relief from the sun for a couple of minutes.
You lookin’ at me?
Another day, another tuc tuc
Today’s tuc tuc encounter was very different. This gentleman was informative, smiley and he knew where he was headed. He became our personal driver for the afternoon, only charging 40 Baht for the privilege!

Matt says...
40 Baht works out to be around 80 pence, amazingly cheap considering he drove us round for 3 hours. I can see why the previous tuc tuc driver was smiling when we paid him 100 Baht for2 minutes!

Claire says...
My favourite moment. When we returned to the driver after spending over an hour in the browsing the Fashion House and he was fast asleep!
We’re on a tuc tuc to nowhere
Tuc tucs are a great way to get around Bangkok. Cheap, cheerful and zero road safety, what more could you need? Bangkok certainly isn’t a place you’d want to learn to drive!

Matt says...
Never accept a ride from a tuc tuc driver when you have no idea where you are going. He offered to drop us off at the hostel for 100 Baht (~£2); feeling adventurous we thought sure why not! Long story short, one and a half hours walking around Bangkok to find the hostel. Blog name suddenly looks very appropriate.
