We visited Melbourne Botanical Gardens today. They were beautiful, bursting with many different flowers and stretched on and on, marking the edge of the grass with their colourful patterns.
Tonight we were meeting friends for dinner but wandered for a while along the Southbank first. This is a gorgeous shot of the city.
Another day, another city! This time Melbourne. Imagine London and Brighton mixed together, that’s what Melbourne is like. I’m a big fan!
The Southbank is a very pretty walk along the river in the centre of Melbourne. It reminds me a lot of London, with it’s swanky bars and cafes.
We’ve seen these flags in Sydney so they must be popular in Australia at Christmas time. Still feels weird seeing them with blue sky in the background!
Everyone deserves a cake on their 30th. We don’t have a kitchen to cook one in, so yummy muffins will have to do. Pretty candles though – yay!
As we were finishing our climb we caught a glimpse of the most beautiful sunset behind the clouds. Very impressive at 134 metres above sea level!
Unfortunately you aren’t allowed to take your own camera up the bridge (as they like to charge you extortionate prices for their own when you get to the bottom). The views were fantastic. We climbed up at a perfect time, just before the sunset!
