Foot massage

Sun 6th November 2011

After 90 days of wearing flip flops my feet could do with a spot of attention and this did the trick. This ingenious contraption actually massages your feet and calves at the same time!

Pity we had to board, I could’ve stayed there all night!

Hanoi, you’ve beaten us!

So nothing can prepare you for the dirt of Asian cities. It’s hot, humid and look what it does to your feet!

We have tan marks – too bad it’s from the dirt and not the sun! :)

Clean feet

Tue 16th August 2011

The water was so clear, you could see small details about your feet! We wandered further up river too and stumbled upon lots of young Cambodians sitting and eating sugar rice in the water.

Look how tanned my legs look, the pink nail varnish really contrasts well with the clean water. Claire has really let herself go since we started traveling; those are some hairy legs (joking)!

I am so glad we got to see the waterfall. We were the only Westerners amongst lots of local people, so it’s obviously a popular choice on a warm day.

It tickles!

Thu 11th August 2011

Here we are enjoying (pfffft) the fish massage. I will let Matt explain it more because I fully admit I was a wuss and only dipped my toe a few times!

We both paid $2 to get our feet cleaned by lots of little fish. Claire dipped her feet in 2 or3 times and screamed which really amused the locals. So to get our moneys worth I had to keep my feet in for a good 10 – 15 minutes. Now I have very clean feet!

Easily. The. Worst. Thing. Ever. It really tickled and wasn’t a pleasant sensation…as you can tell by my expression in this picture!
