Long way up

Tue 27th December 2011

On the way back up the sun came out and Matt snapped this lovely picture of us (struggling) to get back up the hill.

Matt

Matt says...

Getting down the the most easterly point was the easy part. Getting back up in the thirty plus degree sun was the hard part!

The sun came out and boy was it hot walking up all those steps!

A long way up

Wed 26th October 2011

The climb to the lighthouse was 280 metres above sea level. That’s a lot of steps and a lot of pain!

Matt

Matt says...

One thousand two hundred meters at a constant incline through the jungle in Flip-flops is no fun! Won’t be doing that again any time soon. The view was worth the pain though!

Claire

Claire says...

It took us over 40 minutes to climb to the top and that was at a constant incline. In 33 degree heat too, phew!
