Muddy smooch

Sat 19th November 2011

It had to be done. We couldn’t really get any more muddy really, could we?

Soooo muddy! I look like one of those pointless living statues you see around Covent Garden and the Southbank in London.

The finish line

Sat 19th November 2011

We survived! Through ice pits, mud slides, rope swings, barb wire mud crawls, drop and rolls…just to name a few.

Can you see me? I’m in the bottom right corner. I’m so glad I wore white shorts. Great idea!

Yes, that’s a big blob of mud on the lens! I couldn’t clean it as every time I tried I covered it in more mud! The waterproof camera survived for another day!

I have never been covered in so much mud, it was literally coming out of every single orifice! Love the added lump of mud on the camera lens here.

The fab foursome

Sat 19th November 2011

Here’s us with Min and her fella, Matt. We completed the entire course as a big group which made the whole experience a lot more fun!

The temperature was around 30 degrees C (or around 86 F for the oldies), so the mud dried quickly. It’s supposed to be good for your skin. It didn’t smell like it would be.

Mud, glorious mud

Sat 19th November 2011

So we got muddy. Very muddy. This photo was taken quite near the start of the race…it gets much worse!

Matt

Matt says...

You call that muddy?!

You can do it!

Thu 1st September 2011

England were doing well, but they needed a little help from a local friend. Victory was sweet and it was time to jump into the kayaks again!

Matt

Matt says...

We won, with a little help from a small Laos boy. Apparently his mother helped out too!
