As we came over the hill I wasn’t prepared for this view. And with the smell of the ocean too; mmmm.

Bronte Beach

Sun 13th November 2011

A lazy Sunday wander brought us to Bronte Beach, and the start of an incrdible coastal walk along to Bondi Beach. Just a normal Sunday stroll then.

Matt says...

Nice beach huh! A little different to the ones we get in the UK…

Okay, so Sydney has definitely impressed me. But now we’re talking. This walk was beautiful and it was heaven to smell the ocean once again.

Underwater love

Sat 22nd October 2011

It’s true to say that we’ve both fallen in love with the ocean all over again. The past 7 days have ensured we discover sights like this, and I’ll never forget the experience.

Our final dive of the Advanced Training course! What an amazing 7 days of diving we’ve had. Nine dives under the belt already, my favourite was the night dive. I’ll definitely be diving again in the future!

The lessons. The training. The fear. Oh, the fear. But it’s all worth it when you get to share the ocean with it’s fascinating aquatic life. Bring on The Great Barrier Reef I say!

Ready to go!

Fri 21st October 2011

Before each dive, we all grouped together on the surface at the buoy which signified the start of the descending line.

Once everyone had assembled on the surface we got a quick last briefing from Billy our instructor and were ready to dive!

View of Twins

Wed 19th October 2011

Our second dive site is called Twins, where two huge rocks rise out of the sea. This panoramic view shows you exactly the kind of location we’re experiencing.

If you look closely at the centre of the picture you can see some air bubbles rising to the surface. These are from another group of divers on our boat who are already diving.

Just before our second dive, we witnessed our first rain storm on Koh Tao. You can see it raining on the right hand side of the photo!
