My navigation skills on land aren’t that great, I hope they are a little better in the sea! Fingers crossed!

While taking one of our essential surface intervals before our second dive, some of the guys decided to jump off the top deck of the boat.

Lightening show

Mon 17th October 2011

Another spectacular lightening storm – this time on Koh Tao. We’ve really taken to this tiny Island’s beautiful natural occurances, they take your breath away!

Matt

In the distance you can see a storm brewing over the sea. You can see a huge lightning bolt striking out at sea. It was a very clear night with lots of stars visible in the sky; you can see part of the Milky Way galaxy in the centre of the photo.

Matt’s captured the aggression of this storm perfectly. It was quite far out to sea, but you couldn’t miss it as it lit up part of the sky with reds and purples.

A ferry nice sunset

Sat 8th October 2011

On the ferry over to Koh Samui, we noticed a beautiful sunset over mainland Thailand. This looks promising for our Island adventure.

This sunset was totally unexpected. It had been pouring it down on the coach all day before we got to the port, but it just happened to stop as we got on the ferry. What an amazing view!

Beach bum

Wed 5th October 2011

Rawa Beach is a very secluded part of sand surrounded by lots of rocks and boulders. The water here was stunning, and you could see the white sand at the bottom.
