Mud bath

Thu 1st September 2011

We stopped at a local bar for a drink, a laze in a hammock and a game of volley ball which quickly decended into a mud fight.

I couldn’t believe how hot this mud was. In the baking sun all day it almost to hot to hold. So what do you do with hot mud? Smear it all over yourself and go hug clean people of course! Claire wasn’t amused. It was only slightly smelly.

Just look at all that muddy goodness! I think this was just before I received a mud splat to the head.

Seeing the light

Fri 26th August 2011

The cave was gigantic. Inside the rock was smoothed and forced  into thousands of different shapes – lit up by coloured flood lights. It was beautiful.

This photo took a bit of fiddling on the camera. I’m really getting used to using the DSLR in all these different conditions.

This hole in the cave wall leading to the outside world allowed a small beam of sunlight in, creating a pretty projection inside the cave.

Where’s the beach? That way!

Mon 15th August 2011

When it brightened up, we wandered to the beach to have a cocktail, eat a delicious BBQ and watch the fireworks with the group.

This was our first evening in a while when we didn’t have an early rise the next day. So what did we do? Sampled the local bars with the group of course! We also tried our first bucket – quite an experience.
