We were up early today to head back to Sydney but there was time to take one last picture of this gorgeous sunrise.

Boxing Day and time for a little trip to Hastings point – and we weren’t quite prepared for the view that awaited us!

There were some huge waves on Boxing day! Didn’t see any surfers out there, it was way too dangerous!
I could’ve sat and watched the ocean for hours. The cyclone really was playing havoc with the sea, but the affect was mesmerising to watch.
Here I am holding a massive Wedge-tailed Eagle! We were allowed to hold him for a short while and bask in his magnificance.

That’s one huge bird! I want one! He can eat small unwanted children from around the area.
He was very heavy, I can’t imagine how tired the keepers must get holding these birds all day!
We stumbled upon this amazing stamp and coin shop in the laneways. It went on forever and housed thousands and thousands of stamps.

I’ve never seen a shop so big dedicated to selling collectable stamps. It was huge! There must be thousands of stamps from all over the world in there.
We couldn’t beleive the size of this place! It’s incredible to consider how many stamps they own.
Ther e is one huge lizard who plods around the grassy area near our chalet. He likes the sun and he likes the bushes.

This was one big lizard! About three meters long! He didn’t like me much and ran off into the bushes. I decided to follow him in and managed to snap this photo before he bolted off again.
The first time I saw him, I should open-mouthed for about 2 minutes. He’s HUGE and not intimidated by our presence at all!
